Rao has joined as Reader in the Sri Krishnadevaraya University in 1987. The main
fields of specialization are Geomorphology, Climatology, Hydrology, Remote Sensing
and Environmental studies. Publised about sixty Research Papers, completed Eight
Research Projects and attended about hundred conferences / Seminars / Symposia.
Under the guidance of Prof. Rao eighteen M.Phil and fifteen Ph.Ds were Awarded.
Member of the A.P.State Environmental appraisal committee from 2007 to 2010.

Dr.Y.V.Ramanaiah is Professor of Geography and he was founder staff member, Head,
Cahirman Board of Studies of the department of Geography, Sri Krishnadevaraya
University, Anantapur. He obtained Ph.D. from S.V.University, Tirupati and has had a
long 30 years of teaching experience in diversified branches of Geography.
Pertaining to research, he immensely contributed in the field of agricultural
geography and produced five M.Phils and 13 Ph.Ds; published 65 research articles in
leading professional journals of both national dna international and editorial
volumes; and contributed three books. He has completed three major research
projects, organized one national seminar; attended and presented papers in more
than 65 national and international Seminars / Conferences; and delivered three radio
talks. He had been to Asahikawa, Japan in 1991 in connection with international
conference. For his corporate life, he has held various positions in the university
administration right from Deputy warden, warden, Dean of Students Affairs, PRO,
Professor – in charge of U.G. Exams and to Registrar of the University.

He obtained his Doctorate in 1981 from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and
is having 33 years of Research experience (ICSSR Fellow UGC Research Associate,
land Project Associate in Centre for Earth Science Studies, Trivandrum) and 20
years of P.G.Teaching Experience. His fields of interest are Geomophology, River
Baisn Ecology Industrial Geography and Geo-informatics. His studies varied from
micro-level (Minor river basisn of Swarnamukhi and Chitravathi in Andhra
Pradesh) to Meso Level (District and State level studies of Industrial Geography).
He also receivwed specialized training in the applications of Remote Sensing and
GIS. He has published over 20 Research Papers, Guided 3 Scholars for their
Doctorate degrees and Edited Two Books.

Prof. A. KRISHNA KUMARI, M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D., |

Student of Sri Krishnadevaraya University, joined as Assistant Professor in the home
department in February 1989, completed 20 years of service in teaching. Got Ph.
D. in the year 1993 and published 16 Research Papers in the fields of Agricultural
and Medical Geography. Under her guidance several Ph.D’s and M.Phil’s were
awarded. She attended 15 National and International Seminars and presented
papers. Presently she is doing an UGC Project in Medical Geography.
