Dr. Krishna Naik Khatravath belongs to the first batch students of MA, in the Department
of History, S.K.University. He joined the faculty as an Assistant Professor in 1985 and
Associate Professor in 1992 and elevated as Professor in 2000. He served twice as Head
of the Department in 1993-1996 and 1999 to 2003. He also served as Chairman, Board
of studies in History in 2001 to 2004 and at present serving as Chairman Board of studies
in History. He was nominated to Academic Senate, S.K.University, 1989 to 1992 and
Academic Planning & Development Cell, 1999 to 2001, NSS Programme Coordinator,
2002 to 2005 and at present serving as Dean, PG examinations. His area of research is
on Post-Medieval and Tribal and folk studies and so far produced four M.Phil and nine
Doctoral Degrees and published 10 research articles and contributed PG Course material
in History for Distance Education, S.K.University and Dr.BR Ambedkar Open University.
He was awarded Research Associateship at IUC, IIAS, Shimla by the UGC in 1996-1999.
At present he is working on a UGC Major Research Project on Social History of a Nomadic
Tribe. He is a member in various selection boards of Universities and also life member in
professional bodies like IHC, SIHC, and APHC. He organized XIX Session of AP History
Congress in 1995. He is specialised in post Medieval History and Social History, Tribal
Studies

Joined as Lecturer in History, Besant Theosophical College, Madanapalle in November 1982. Later joined
into Government service as Lecturer in February 1984 served there till July 1998.He joined the faculty of
History as Associate professor in S.K.University, Anantapur in 1998.Served as Head of the Department
during 2004 to 2007.He has also served as N.S.S. Co-ordinator for three years 2005-2008.Area of interest
is Dalit Studies and Human Rights. He has served as joint Secretary for A.P History Congress during
2001-2004, Life member of A.P. History Congress and Indian History Congress.

Dr. Y .RAMACHANDRA REDDY, M.A., Ph.D., |

Dr Y. Ramachandra Reddy joined as Assistant professor in the Department of History
in 1985 .He studied MA, at Madras Christian college with first class in 1982 .He
completed Ph D, In 1990. He produced two Ph Ds and two MPhil Scholar . Now
fourPhD and two Mhil scholars are working under his guidance . He attended
number of conferences and national seminars and presented papers. He published
one book on local self government

Dr. K. Mallikajuna Reddy joined the department of history as Assistant professor in 1991 and
became Professor in 2008. He produced three M.phils. Now four PhD students and two
M.phil scholars are working under his guidance. He produced ten articles in different
journals and books. He attended number of conferences and National seminars and
presented papers in his subject. He is serving now as Head of the Department Of History.
Department of History hosted south Indian History congress in 2008. He served as
coordinator of examinations for revaluation. He served as deputy warden, Additional
warden and in charge warden of university hostels for some time. He served as secretary
of SKUTA. He is now coordinator for Sri Krishnadevaraya study centre of Sri
Krishnadevaraya University.
