Associate Professor in the Department of Library and Information Science
worked in the S.K.U. Library for 13 years (1974-87). Working in the LIS
Department since 1987. Associated with all the teaching programmes in
the department since its inception. Prepared course material for M.L.I.Sc.,
summer course. Offered in-service training to the employees of Public
Libraries in Anantapur and Kurnool districts. Produced 4 Ph.Ds and 10 M.
Phils in Library and Information Science. At present, he is guiding 7 Ph.Ds
and 12 M.Phils. The areas of research are Information Seeking Behaviour
and Quality of Work Life (QWL) in Libraries. There are 12 research papers
published in national journals and seminar volumes. Passed NET (UGC)
in 1989. Served as Head of the Department from 1.7.2000 to 17.10.

Dr. B.Pratapa Reddy joined as Professional Assistant in S.K.University Library in
1979. He served as Part-Time Lecturer and taught both CLISc and BLISc courses
up to 1987. The University assigned Full-Time teaching in the department in the
year 1987. He clear NET (UGC) in the year 1992. Appointed as Assistant
Professor in 1993 and promoted as Associate Professor in 2005. Served as
resource person for M.L.I.Sc. summer course conducted by the Department.
Offered training for the staff of Zilla Grandhalaya Samsthas at Anantapur and
Kurnool districts. Published four research papers. Produced two M.Phils. At
present, he is guiding 7 Ph.Ds. and 12 M.Phils. Areas of research interest:
Financial Management and Human Resource Management (HRM). He is at

Dr Y. Ramachandra Reddy joined as Assistant professor in the Department of History
in 1985 .He studied MA, at Madras Christian college with first class in 1982 .He
completed Ph D, In 1990. He produced two Ph Ds and two MPhil Scholar . Now
fourPhD and two Mhil scholars are working under his guidance . He attended
number of conferences and national seminars and presented papers. He published
one book on local self government

He joined as Assistant Professor in the Department of Library and
Information Science in June 2000. He cleared SLET in Library and
Information Science. Served as Deputy Warden for a period of 2 years and
6 months. Acted as Secretary to the Campus School. At present, he is
guiding 2 M.Phils and 1 Ph.D. His areas of research interest are:
Information seeking Behaviour and Academic Library System. He has two
research publications to his credit.

in the age of Electronic Era” at “National Conference on Reorientation of Library Services in India” held at
Vijayawada, during 18-20 August 2007 organized by “Andhra Pradesh LibraryAssociation”.
b) Presented a paper entitled “Personnel Problems in Public LibraryManagement: A Case Study of Zilla
Grandhalaya Samstas in Andhra Pradesh, India” at 53rd All India Library Conference, held at Hyderabad
during 13-16 December, 2007, organized by India Library Association. (ILA).
