Prof. P.W.PURUSHOTHAM
Prof. P.W.Purushotham hailing from Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh, born on
June 10, 1952 obtained his M.A. M.Phil and Ph.D Degrees from Sri Venkateswara
University, Tirupati. He specialized in the field of Policy and Management studies
and obtained his Ph.D ini the year 1986 on the Topic entitled “Andhra Pradesh State
Road Transport Corporation – A Study in Organization and Management”. He first
served as lecturer in Public Administration in Sri Venkateswara University Post
Graduate Center, Kadapa from 1978 to 1987. He then joined as Reader in Political
Science & Public Administration in Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur in
1987 and got elevated as Professor of Political Science & Public Administration in
1998. He served the academics for three decades both as teacher as well as
researcher. He completed two UGC Projects and as many as 19 Ph.D’s and 23 M.
Phil’s were awarded under his guidance. He published 15 articles, three books and
submitted 65 papers in various seminars. He also served the Universities in various
capacities like Head of the Department (thrice), Board of Studies Chairman (thrice),
Dean of Student Affairs and Public Relations, Director of Centre for Distance
Education, Director SKIAD, NSS Programme Officer, Coordinator of Research & PG
Exams and member of various committees of the University. He also served the
Government of Andhra Pradesh on deputation as Director of Andhra Pradesh Study
Circle for Backward Classes. At present he is also the Academic Senate member of
Osmania University, Hyderabad. He also served as Member, Intellectual
Committee of APCC, Hyderabad in 1999. He is also associated with various
Universities and Institutions of academics in striving for the cause of academic

Prof. B.PADMANABHA REDDY, Ph.D., Chairman, Board of Studies
Prof. B.Padmanabha Reddy born in the year 1951 in P.Kothakota, Chittoor
district of Andhra Pradesh has received his Post-Graduation and Doctorate
Degrees from Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati. He was awarded UGC
Junior / Senior Research Fellowship by Sri Venkateswara University. He joined
as a regular Faculty Member in the Department of Political Science and Public
Administration, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur in February, 1987
and became Professor in July, 1998. He has over 25 years of research and
teaching experience. He has been the Chairman, Board of Studies since
August, 2007. He was Head of the department from October, 1997 to March,
2001 and Chairman, Board of Studies from August, 2001 to August, 2004.
He has published two books and 10 papers. Under his research supervision,
12 M.Phil. degrees, 7 Ph.D degrees were awarded and has attended 12
conferences / seminars. He is a Life Member of nine Professional / Academic
Bodies.
