Prof. V. Reddappa Reddy joined the Department of Rural Development as Lecturer in
February 1989, and became Reader in Dec 1989 and became Professor in July 1998.
Earlier he worked as Lecturer in government degree colleges in Andhra Pradesh from April
1984 to February 1989. He served as Head of the Department from April 1995 to April
1998 and Chairman, BOS in Rural Development from September 2000 to September
2003 and in Social Work from March 2003 to March 2006. He served as Director,
Directorate of Admissions, S.K. University during 2005-06 and convenor of PCET in AP
during 2006-07. During his tenure, he completed one major research project, organised
one Regional Seminar, and published a good number of articles in national and
international journals and several research reports. He has been serving as consultant for
organisations like Action Aid, Family Health International India, Society for Elimination of
Rural Poverty, Hyderabad and Society for Human Rights and Social Development, Tirupati.
His research areas of interest include ecology, environment, women empowerment and
poverty reduction.

Prof. G. Sreedhar joined the Department of Rural Development, Sri Krishnadevaraya
University, Anantapur as Lecturer in November 2005, and became Reader in July 1990 and
Professor in July 1998. Earlier he worked as Junior Research Fellow in Council for Social
Development, New Delhi/Hyderabad from September 1980 to October 1985. He served as
Head of the Department of Rural Development and Social Work from April 1998 to April
2001. He served as the Registrar of Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur from August
2003 to July 2004. He has been serving as Chairman, BOS in Rural Development and Social
Work since March 2006. During his tenure as a faculty member, he completed one minor and
two major research projects sanctioned by UGC, organised one National Seminar, and
published two books and 17 articles in national and international journals and 21 research
reports. He has been serving as a consultant to various organisations like CAPART, German
Development Cooperation (GTZ), Family Health International India, Council for Social
Development, Hyderabad, Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore, Society for
Elimination of Rural Poverty, Hyderabad, and Society for Human Rights and Social
Development, Tirupati. His research areas of interest include Natural Resource Management,
Irrigation, Rural Poverty Reduction, Micro Finance, Self-help Promotion, etc.

Prof. K. Bhaskar joined the faculty of Rural Development, S.K. university, as an
Assistant professor in 1985. He was promoted as Professor in 2001 and served as
Head of the Department (2001-04) and chairman Board of studies. He has also
served as member, Centre for Distance Education. He has more than 25 research
papers and completed one major research project funded by UGC. He has been
actively associating and evaluating different Rural Development programs
entrusted to the department. His major research areas of interests are Rural
marketing, Micro finance. He is a life member of Indian society of Agricultural
marketing and Indian society of Agricultural Economies.
