Department of Sociology Prof. CH. Umamohan M.A., M.Phil., Ph.D.,               Prof. CH. Umamohan Email Id: Prof., B. SYED CHAND BASHA, M.A., M.Phil. (RD), M.A., Ph. D (Sociology)   Prof. B. Syed Chand Basha joined the Department of Sociology, Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur as Lecturer in Feb. 1985. He became Reader in January 1991 and Professor in January 1999. He served as Head of the Department of Sociology from August 1999 to August 2002, and as Chairman, Board of Studies in Sociology from September 2002 to September 2005. He completed one minor research project sanctioned by the UGC and published seven articles in various journals. One candidate was awarded Ph. D and three candidates M.Phil under his supervision. Presently, two scholars are working for Ph.D. under his guidance. His research areas of interest include Industrial Relations, Child Labour and Human Rights, Leadership and Trade Unions   Prof., B. SYED CHAND BASHA Email Id: Prof. R. VIJAYA KRISHNA NAIDU, M.A., M. Phil., Ph. D,     Professor R. Vijaya Krishna Naidu joined the faculty of Sociology as Assistant Professor in Feb. 1985. He has completed 24 years of post graduate teaching till date. He was promoted as Professor of Sociology in 2004. He served as Head, Department of Sociology (2002-2005) and Chairman, Board of Studies in Sociology (2005-2008). He is External member of Board of Studies in Sociology for different Universities within and outside the State. He has published 2 books 16 research papers. Professor Naidu has completed two minor and two major research projects awarded by UGC. He participated in several National and International Conferences/Seminars/Workshops. He has guided 2 Ph.Ds 5 M.Phils and currently guiding 8 Ph.Ds and 6 M.Phils.
