COMMON ENTRANCE TEST (SKU&RU CET-2009)

ADMISSION NOTIFICATION

Applications in the prescribed form are invited for SKU&RU CET-2009 for admission to postgraduate courses in S.K. University College, Anantapur, Rayalaseema University, Kurnool and some affiliated colleges of SKU for the academic year 2009-10. Candidates who have qualified or appearing for the qualifying examination in March/April 2009 may apply for the following courses for which admission is by an Entrance Test.

M.A. Economics/Applied Economics; English; History; Political Science; Public

Administration; Rural Development; Social Work; Sociology; and Telugu.

M.Sc. Mathematics/Applied Mathematics; Biochemistry; Biotechnology; Botany; Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry; Computer Science; Electronics/Electronics & Communications; Geography; Electronics & Instrumentation; Microbiology;Physics; Polymer Science; Sericulture; Statistics/OR&SQC and Zoology;

M.Com/M.Com(Professional); M.L.I.Sc.,; M.P.Ed

M.Ed. (One year course for B.Ed Degree holders only)

For details of self-financing courses, please see the SKU&RU CET-2009 Prospectus. All courses of study follow the Semester System. Application forms with SKU&RU CET-2009 Prospectus can be obtained from Andhra Bank, S.K.University Branch and S.K.U. Extension counter. Application Forms are also available in the Head Post Offices of Anantapur, Kurnool, Kadapa, Chittoor, Nellore, Madanapalli, Tirupathi, Adoni, Nandyal, Dharmavaram, Guntakal and Hindupur and Sub-Post Offices of Yemmiganur, Kadiri, Rayadurg, Tadipatri, Kalyandurg, Gooty, Penukonda, Madakasira and Allagadda. An amount of Rs.230(inclusive of bank/post office service charges) has to be paid towards the cost of the application form. Application form can also be had by post from the Director, Directorate of Admissions, on submission of a crossed Demand Draft obtained on or after 01-04-2009 for Rs.220 drawn in favour of the Director, Directorate of Admissions (payable at Anantapur) along with a self addressed envelope of size 40cm X 30cm and stamps worth Rs.30. A separate application is to be submitted for each Subject of Entrance Test. Money Order/Postal orders/Cash will not be accepted. Entrance Test papers of two previous years are also available for sale at Rs.40+Rs.10(Bank/Post Office service charges) at the said Bank Branches and Post offices.

2. Last date for sale of Application forms 07-05-2009

3. Last Date for Receipt of filled in Application forms 14-05-2009(upto 5.00 PM)

4. Entrance Test Commences on 29-05-2009

5. Date of first Counselling for admission will be intimated in the Rank Card.

No separate call letter will be sent to the candidates.

Note:

1. Filledin applications should reach the Director, Directorate of Admissions, S.K.University, Anantapur–515055 by registered/speed post/courier only on or before 5.00 PM on 14-05-2009.

2. Submission of applications in person at the Directorate of Admissions is not

allowed.

3. The Director is not responsible for any postal/courier delay or loss in transit.

4. Candidates seeking readmission should contact the Directorate of Admissions in June 2009(for I & III semesters) and in October 2009(for II & IV semesters).

5. There are no Re-admissions in RU, Kurnool.

6. Under National Integration Category one extra seat is provided in all the courses with a minimum intake of 20 seats in S.K.University and Rayalaseema University.

7. In addition to the sanctioned strength, seats under payment category are available in almost all the subjects. A few seats in select subjects are available for Foreign Nationals/NRI/NRI sponsored candidates/ Indian Nationals.
